Hello! I hope that this blog helps you to understand your child's weekly homework. I will be updating weekly on what is expected for the week. Homework should be a time for you to practice with your child and will hopefully help you to be informed as to what we are doing in class. If you child has difficulty completing the homework or it will not be done by the end of the week, please let me know.
This week for homework:
-Please read with and to your child! I have included in their homework folders a green (Print Concepts) or blue (reading comprehension) bookmark that will hopefully help you to support the work that we are doing in class on Print Concepts/Reading Comprehension.
-Practice our weekly sight words. I forgot to send last week words. They are:
the, I, at, a, see.
This week's words are:
one, up, he, and, by.
Students should be able to read and spell these words. Here are some ideas to help practice sight words at home.
-There are 2 math sheets going home this week. Please have your child complete these at anytime-In pencil. Return papers in the blue homework folder on Friday.
-There is a yellow letter regarding our Nursery Rhyme Unit and Recital. Please take the time to read the letter, this project is not due until Friday, August 18th. Click here for some Nursery Rhyme ideas.
