Reading:
-Students should have a mitten in their folders. Last week we worked on retelling the story The Mitten by Jan Brett. (You can listen to the story, read by Jan herself, HERE!) You can have your child show you how they retold the story using their mitten!
Sight words: there, all, from
-please practice reading and spelling these words as well as the sight words students have in their red folders.
-students have a practice sheet in their folders for the words "there" and "from".
-Students will also have an additional sheet in their reading folder
(I have sent home 2 different sheets based on reading ability)
A. Roll and Read! Students will practice reading the nonsense words on the page
OR
B. Unit 1: Fun, Fun, Fun!- Students will read the passage (or read it with an adult helper) and answer the questions on the back of the paper.
-Remember to read every night at home! You can read the book in your red folder or read using the Raz Kids app or website at home!
Math:
-Students have 3 sheets in their folder for math related to shapes and position words. We have not talked about position words yet but students should be familiar with the position words.
